According to a survey of 1,000 consumers conducted in collaboration with Modern Retail and Attest Research about how much people have shopped on online platforms other than Amazon over the past six months, the majority of respondents said they used eBay. But when it comes to the choice of respondents aged 16-25, Shein ranks first.
32% of respondents said they had used eBay for purchases in the past six months, followed by Shein at 21% and Temu at 17%. Nearly 400 (35%) of the 1,000 respondents aged 16-25 said they had used Shein in the past six months, compared to just 25% of young people who had used eBay and 16% who had used Temu.
It is reported that Shein recently raised $2 billion, and its valuation has reached $66 billion. As Modern Retail recently reported, Shein is gradually becoming the most popular platform, in addition, Shein is launching third-party marketplaces, and at the end of last year also launched a resale platform. Temu has been growing steadily and is now the second most downloaded app in the United States, behind ChatGPT.
